Welcome

Many of us experience emotional pain and challenge

with staying open-hearted and present to ourselves,

others and the world we live in.

In the midst of this personal and collective struggle

there is a strong need for balance and healing.

The good news is that we all have within us the resources we need to gain balance and healing.

It is in the intelligence of the body that we discover

not who or what are

but HOW we are.

Compassion

Compassion can be difficult for us to offer to ourselves yet it is a foundational part of self-understanding, finding balance, healing distress and personal challenge.

Acceptance

Can we accept that it is really okay that we aren’t perfect?

That we make mistakes, sometimes big ones?

That we have hurt others, judged and misjudged, forgotten, blamed and more?

Can we accept our value and worth? Our capabilities and talents? That we are important and needed?

This is part of the journey and there is no way to do is perfectly!

As your coach I offer you acceptance as you are in each moment.

Healing

Healing is a process. It is a journey.

Healing includes learning, curiosity, patience, effort, discomfort, understanding, compassion, humor, discovery and acceptance.

Partnership

Our coaching together is a partnership.

We build a cooperative relationship in which we work together in service of your learning, empowerment, self knowing, healing and truth

Hello, My name is Mary Barrett.

In naming the coaching I offer I chose to combines the words Body and Wisdom as one word. Why?

Wisdom lives in the Body.

Our bodies are designed to communicate to us how we are  - emotionally, mentally and physically. 

They communicate through physical sensations and the emotions they express.

Telling us what our nervous system is perceiving within us, around us and from the nervous systems of others.

We feel pain when we are injured. We get fevers, nausea, headaches, itching, weakness, fatigue and many other physical

sensations that are asking us to pay attention to how we are physically.

Other sensations like tightness, fluttering, pressure, breathless, soft, open and many others are often expressing our feelings -

how we are emotionally.

Bringing our awareness into our bodies we can begin to recognize the valuable information our bodies offer us.

We learn the truth of  how we are and how we are perceiving self, others and life.  Then we can relate to ourselves and to others

with clarity and understanding.
